| Bio: | i am the aural elixir girrrl and here's my official bio www.auralelixir.com Aural Elixir is a lyrical, piano driven, multi-genre concept deeply inspired by the rich musical textures of New Orleans. Highly accomplished band leader Jesse Holt brewed the first batch of Aural Elixir in the funky clubs of New Orleans in 1997. Building from a foundation of classical training in music & theatre, it was the influences of Jazz, Frank Zappa, Joni Mitchell & the City of New Orleans that inspired Jesse to experiment with songwriting. Her eclectic musical taste and passion for variety fuels the creative fire for her signature concoction of jazz, rock, folk, soul, funk, latin, blues, and comedy music aptly named Aural Elixir. Aural Elixir has performed throughout the continental United States and independently released four cds available online & in various outlets. Now based in Colorado, Jesse is celebrating a decade of Aural Elixir and is touring both solo & ensemble as well as creating the fifth Aural Elixir cd. | |||||
